43 Sqd Disbanded with the Hawker Hunter FGA9 14th October 1967.

The squadron reformed with the  Phantom FG1 on the 1st September 1969 at RAF Leuchars where it received the first of it's ex-Fleet Air Arm aircraft.

 

The squadron converted over to the Panavia Tornado F3, 31 July 1989
