| Aeroplane & Armament Experimental Establishment aircraft XT597 which started its service life as the aircraft selected to carry out carrier suitability trials between 15-22/7/68 with USS Coral Sea (CVA 43).Delivered to A&AEE "C" Sqd August 1969. This aircraft although now retired is in storage at Boscombe Down where it was based with the A&AEE. In 1983 it was specially painted to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Phantom |
